Youth therapy in the office

We have created offices where children and teenagers can feel at ease, safe, and valued – because only in such a space is real conversation, building trust, and working together on change possible.

A friendly space that supports the relationship

The office to which we invite a child or teenager does not resemble a classic therapy room from movies. It is cozy, quiet, and equipped to build an atmosphere of trust. For younger children, there are aids available for working through play and drawing, and for older children – a place for conversation where the therapist truly listens.

We want the young person to feel comfortable from the beginning, and at the same time understand that this is their space – not the classroom, not home, not the internet – but theirs.

In-office therapy for children and adolescents is more than just talking – it is a space where a young person can feel safe, noticed, and understood. In-person meetings allow for direct contact with the therapist, who not only talks but also observes and adapts the form of work to the child's age, temperament, and abilities.

At PsycheClinic, we strive to make each meeting – from the very first one – as stress-free as possible for the young person. We know that children and teenagers often come with apprehension, and sometimes even with resistance. Therefore, it is important that the office is not associated with an “interrogation,” but with a place where you can relax and say what you really feel.

What does it look like?

  •   Sessions usually last 50 minutes, although the length and form can be adjusted to the age and needs.

  •   For younger children, sessions often take place with the parents present (e.g., partially or on a rotating basis).

  •   For teenagers, we offer individual therapy, while maintaining confidentiality and responsible cooperation with the family.

  •   If needed, the therapist also meets with parents/guardians to build a consistent support plan together.

Discretion and comfort – also for families

We understand that seeking psychological therapy for a child is a decision that affects the entire family, not just the child. That's why we ensure that contacting us is as comfortable as possible at every stage:

  • ➤ The office is soundproofed and free of distractions, promoting concentration and a sense of security.

  • ➤ The waiting room is a place where parents can wait in peace, with access to reading material and the option to put their phone away.

  • ➤ The option to charge your phone helps you disconnect from everyday stimuli, which is also helpful for older children.

  • ➤ Free on-site parking makes logistics easier, especially if you need to travel from another district for therapy.

Important: Thanks to our facility's special status in Google's systems, your visit will not be recorded on your Google Maps timeline
or in your location history, ensuring digital discretion as well.

Parental involvement – key in the therapy of children
and adolescents

For children and adolescents, it's not just about working with the patient, but often also collaborating with the parent. The therapist may suggest family consultations, informational meetings, or recommendations for home. All this is to ensure that the effect of the therapy does not end in the office. Our goal is to build a support system, not only within the child but also around them.

When is in-office therapy the best choice?

  • ➤ When a child or teenager needs direct contact with a therapist to feel safe.

  • ➤ In situations where the difficulties are deep and require observation of non-verbal behaviors.

  • ➤ When there is a lack of private space or conditions for online conversation at home.

  • ➤ When parents want to be more involved in the therapy process by meeting with the therapist in person.

Before your first visit

If you are visiting us for the first time, it is worth checking out the "How to find us" page, where you will find information about parking and how to enter the facility. For many children (and parents), the very moment of arriving at a new place can cause tension, so it's worth minimizing it.

Book an appointment at the office and see what the space looks like where you can build trust and start real change together with your child.
